Aria Award Winner Matt Sharp judges Y9 Falls Fest

Year 9 took part in the annual Falls Fest. The event is the culmination of their work in History where they have been creating documentaries on a topic of their choice. Awards were given and the final 5 Nominees for Best Documentary were viewed by the cohort and a panel of judges. The panel included Dr Downey and Mitch Hammond as well as Documentary producer and Aria award winning Matt Sharp. Matt Sharp is a Director and Artist best known for acclaimed pop music videos. With career beginnings on the Northern Beaches, Matt won the 24/7 film festival for two consecutive years. His Directing credits span across some of Australia’s most prominent acts including Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian and The Veronicas. The latter earning him an ARIA award for best music video. As a multi-disciplinary creative, Matt has also been at the helm of a numerous film, commercial and documentary projects, including a USA-produced documentary about Bigfoot and the research community surrounding the phenomenon. The Student Choice and Best Documentary Awards were both award to Ashes of Freedom: the impact of 9/11.
